The Eyes Have It: Researchers Can Now Determine When A Human Was Born By Looking Into The Eyes Of The Dead
Using the radiocarbon dating method and special proteins in the lens of the eye, researchers at the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus can now establish, with relatively high precision, when a person was born.
The lens of the eye is made up of transparent proteins called crystallins. These are packed so tightly together and in such a particular way, that they behave like crystals, allowing light to pass through the lens of the eye so that we can see. (Credit: National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health)

This provides a useful tool for forensic scientists who can use it to establish the date of birth of an unidentified body and could also have further consequences for health science research.

Veins
In the circulatory system, the vien is a blood vessel that carries blood back towards the heart. The arteries are opposite. They carry blood away from the heart. Veins function mostly to return de-oxygenated blood to the heart. And they are tubes that collapse when there lumina is not filled with blood.
The veins are very important to the body because without them there would be no body. You have to have veins because veins are what send blood to your heart so that it can pump. If the heart gets no blood then your dead. Veins are very important because they are what sends the blood flow to other parts of your body.
Yes i agree with what this article says about veins. All of the facts listed in this article are true and not opinionated. I agree that veins are very important and an essential thing in your body.

Some scientists form Zenland had just discovered a food cartons that has a substance called citronella oil. This discovery is important because it keeps bugs away from food. Everybody knows that bugs are dangerouse for your health especially when you eat theire substances you can have some dangerouse deseases. So this discovery is so importrant for our health.I think that it is a good discovery and all the people chould use this kind of cardboard and now about it.

This article is about technology and its basic needs. Many of lives important stuff are made up of technology modern agriculture farming. We use tractors which are like robots and we use special engineered seed that increases the amount of food a country produces. We also have vaccines which are also a big part of technology people discovered.

I think the topic of my article is very important because it is what makes up our lives our school, work, transportation and we can’t live without technology if it wasn’t for the guy who invented electricity. This generation would die of smoke intoxication and stuff.

I do not now if I agree or disagree with this cause it is not a bias article anyway technology is very important and we need to keep working on advancing technology maybe like creating awesome stuff.

Heavy Marijuana Use May Damage Developing Brain In Teens, Young Adults
(Feb. 7, 2009)

Adolescents and young adults who are heavy users of marijuana are more likely than non-users to have disrupted brain development, according to a new study. Pediatric researchers found abnormalities in areas of the brain that interconnect brain regions involved in memory, attention, decision-making, language and executive functioning skills.
Yellow areas in the brain of a heavy marijuana smoker show brain regions with the most significant abnormalities. These areas correspond with those under development during normal adolescent years. (Credit: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia)

I totally agree that the use of any drug especially during the childhood has dangerous consequences. The findings are particular concern because adolescence is a crucial period for brain development and maturation. So we should all be very weary and not use, even for a try, this poison.

My article is about Fossilised Boa slithers into record book
Scientists have found the largest fossil of a snake. This snake was a boa as big as a bus .Its shown that the snake was 60 million years ago. The snake is 13 meters long and weighted 1135 kg. This snake was hunting crocodiles. This specie was called titanoboa cerrejonensis. The size of the snake explains that it must of been very hot there, a lot more than now. Some guesses are that the snake cant live less than in 30-34 Celcius!
This is important because its explains that a long time ago, it was warmer than how it is now. And also that may explain why there were bigger animals than now: like the dinausaures etc... And also its very interesting to find that there is a boa that long and big! This is a new discovery and the biggest snake ever found!! I agree with this too and I think its very interesting to find a snake as huge as that!! :D

Allergies
These are caused by your immune system reacting to something, like a blooming flower or pollen for instance. Why this happens is because you body mistakenly thinks that this is a harmful substance even though it isn't even harmful. Then the immune system produces IGE bodies to the alergens, then these cause certain cells to give off chemicals into the bloodstream ( one chemical is called Histamine ). Histamine then acts on your nose, eyes, ect causing an alergic reaction.

Yes, i think this artical is important because it's nice to know when you have one of these (outbreaks) what is actually causing it. Also that you are not sick, but there are just chemicals acting up in your body and making the reactions.

Yes, i also agree with this artical, i know that this is what happens when you have allergies. Allergies are not fun to have, like when you have to blow your nose 24/7. I agree also that allergies aren't dangerous really but mostly annoying. I also agree that pollens and blooming flowers are mostly what causes allergies.

Pollution
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into an environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the physical systems or living organisms. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat, or light energy. Pollution is often caused by people throwing and spilling all types of things onto the ground, or spewing gases and oil out of factories, cars, etc.
It is very important to watch carefully the things that you throw, spill, or dump onto the ground and the earth. You may not know it but some things that you throw onto the ground or put into the air may be very harmful to the environment and people around you. They may also be harmful to other creatures that live on this earth. Before you throw waste onto the ground and endanger humans or any inhabitants on this earth you should think about if it was you getting the cancer, diseases, etc. And not do it!
I do agree with this article about pollution and i also agree that if everyone tries really hard then pollution can be stopped or at least lowered. People should focus on not throwing everything onto the ground and thinking where they should dump it so it would be less harmful to people, inhabitants of the earth, and the earth.

Geophysicists Discover Slippery Secret Of Weaker Underwater Earthquakes.

Seismologists investigating undersea earthquakes have found that molten rock lubricates faults. This decreases the amount of friction between sides of the fault and decreases the intensity of earthquakes. They also found that the fragmentation of fault lines along the seafloor contributes an earthquake-dampening effect.

Geophysicists and oceanographers have found a break in studying sea floor faults. Faults aren't one continuous line. Instead, they are broken up into sections and the edges of the faults are full of cracks as the earth's crust on both sides of the fault slides past each other. It is easier to study fault lines below sea level. They are simple in their geology and history. Fault lines on land have layers of history that make it harder to understand the physics of how they began

By understanding what happens below the Earth's surface, I hoppe that they will be able to forecast earthquakes on land and to send a warning because earthquakes cause so much damage and kill so many people.

Scattered Light Rapidly Detects Tumor Response To Chemotherapy

New technology developed by Duke University bioengineers can help clinicians more precisely detect whether specific cancer drugs are working, and should give basic researchers a powerful new tool to better understand the underlying mechanisms of cancer development.
By interpreting how beams of light scatter off of tumor cell samples, researchers can determine if cancer cells are responding to chemotherapeutic agents within a matter of hours.
The technique is able to provide
representations of sub-cellular structure without disrupting the cells, and can be used to scan a large number of cells in a short time.

In my opinion, It is a great step ahead that will make it possible to detect a tumour more quickly and consequently to treat it more vigorously.

Most of the people eat fats like ice cream, chocalates and other sorts of fats when they get nervouse on theire homeworks or tournaments. When you get stressed most of the time you need "glucocorticoids."The fats contain "glucocorticoids."Everyone knows that fats are bad for our health so people need to try to stop them selves from eating fats when they are stressed.I think that people need to try to not get stressed.
