I know, I'm so mean for giving an assignment over break, but hey, that's what I do. I can't just let you sit around and not think about science for 10 days in a row.

Wiam: scientists proved that chewing gum is very good for you.It gives you energy, and decreases your stress level. Some scientists are thinking of even putting some magnesium in it so that it could really help you have energy.Student who has been chewing gum in tests had improved in their grades. The only harmful thing in chewing gum is the substance "spartam" which could give you cancer but scientists have not still power it . This is important because gum is an easy way of how it can give you energy .It is better than the energy drinks since they can harm you in the overdose of caffeine etc..and also many people have problems with stress.Gum won t hram you except if the rumor of spartam is true, and also it is an easy way to these benefits , you only have to chew.It will be even be even better if they put in it magnesium. I agree with this since it has no negative effects. It is important and an easy to get energy and decrease your stress level.I think that it s a very nice thing that they put some Magnesium in it and so it will be very helpful. There is nothing to disagree about or that can be harmful in this discovery.
My article is about the fact that a little bit of wine, or beer everyday may make your bones stronger. Although too much alcohol will weaken your bones. Kind of like any kind of medicinal drug, the right amount will help you but too much of it could possibly prove to be fatal.
I am not an alcohol drinker, as everyone already knows, and this article won't change my ideas on the matter, but I thought that it was interesting that it took them this long to figure this out. I know that a little bit of wine in the daily diet is good for your blood. the fact that a little bit of it is good for the bones too is interesting, almost like the fact that some chocolate can be healthy. It's just interesting.
A new study shows that elderly people who report excessive daytime sleepness (EDS) have a 49% increase in the relative risk of cardiovascular death, compared to those who don't. The deaths are usually related to cerebrovascular diseases, myocardial infarctions, or heart failures. This reasearch used self reported patient responses and therefore left many people skeptic. I think that even though the methods are not overly-convincing, this theory should be examined more thoroughly. There is a possibility that this could be true, and as a result lives could be saved before it's too late. It COULD be a risk-indicator and should not be ignored. Further research is needed. < h t t p : / /w w w.sciencedaily . com/releases/2009/02/090226160743. h t m >
The age old question has been permeating through the minds of humans for years. Whats is this question? Its "is there other earths like us"? This question has for a long time put a foreseeing curiosty in Nasa's mind. That is why they have launched this new spacecraft called Kelper, after the 17th century german astrologist. The mission plans on lasting for a long time.
The giant telescope is going to orbit around the sun a good distance away from the earths hazy atmosphere so it can look out into the galaxy. Its plan is to catch dots passing the stars in the milkyway and through complicated math figure out its size and relative mass to the earth. This plan is thought up by some of the smartest people out there today.
I think that this will have a lasting impact on the earth, it will either prove that the earth is unique, or show that there is possibly other life forms and earths out there for us to find some day. I strongly agree with Nasas intentions and I hope that we are finally able to answer that question, "are we alone in this universe?" .
http://www.livescience.com/strangenews/090219-recession-sharks.html This article describes how there have been less shark attacks since the beginning of the economic recession in the United States. Because of the hard economic times, people are taking less vacations to shark attack-prone areas, and therefore less are getting attacked. I think this is important, because that would majorly suck to go on vacation only to get eaten by a beastly shark.
