Computer chips are made up of what are known as semiconductors. These are solid materials (such as silicon) that can carry an electrical current but, unlike regular conductors like copper wire, can also be easily turned off so that electricity will not flow through it.
Solid-state lighting includes two similar technologies: light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). A diode is a simple form of a semiconductor, so both LEDs and OLEDs are like tiny computer chip parts that give off light.
Both technologies are composed of layers: one is negatively charged, and one is positively charged. When electric current flows through the diode, it excites negatively charged particles, or electrons, in one layer and causes them to fall into holes in the other layer. The energy released in that fall is emitted as light. The color of the LED depends on the material used in the layers and the distance the electrons fall.

Compter chips are a lot like Solid-state lighing because of LEDs and OLEDs. LEDs and OLEDs are like the part of the computer chip that gives off light. They have layers. Negatively charged and positively charged.

I think it's awesome in the advancement of technology.

Eating hamburger, a chicken sandwich, Barbecue or vegetables can affect the whole planet
In the past weeks, scientists attending the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Chicago presented new studies showing how food and its production affect the globe and its warming climate. The researchers had some bad news for meat-eaters which is good news for cows. They also offered some suggestions for how to eat in a more environmentally friendly way.
It’s about of global warming: For many years, scientists have warned that our planet is getting warmer. Animals may start to die off and life could get very difficult for everyone. The greenhouse gases surround the planet and keep heat from escaping the atmosphere. It’s like a blanket for the Earth that traps heat. One of these greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide.
What does this have to do with food?
Scientists in Chicago reported that a big large piece of the carbon dioxide that we put in the atmosphere every year comes from the process of making and eating food. The production of meat contributes a lot of that carbon dioxide. And much of meat’s contribution comes from beef, which is responsible for releasing warming gases in the atmosphere.

Master regulation of skin formation:

Researchers at Oregon State University have found one gene in the human body that appears to be a master regulator for skin development, in research that could help address everything from skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis to the wrinkling of skin as people age.

I think tahts a wonderfull discovery now they know wat gene makes all those changes and maybe they could discover a way in which they can stop the gene from making all those changes in ur skin. so that wen i get old ii won have wrinlkes .....!!! :D hehheheh

Remains of the Asteroids FOUND!

A couple of scientists just found meteorite fragments of the first asteroid ever spotted in space before it slammed into Earth's atmosphere last year from the deserts of Sudan. These precious pieces of space rock, described in a study detailed in the March 26 issue of the journal Nature, could be an important key to classifying meteorites and asteroids and determining exactly how they formed.Because it exploded so high over Earth's surface, no chunks of it were expected to have made it to the ground. Witnesses in Sudan described seeing a fireball, which ended abruptly."This was an extraordinary opportunity, for the first time, to bring into the lab actual pieces of an asteroid we had seen in space," Jenniskens said.

Now, i found this article important because it's really important to know what kind of things that may be in the asteroids. I hope the scientists keep their great work! XD

P.S: pls dont forget to add this article homework for this 4th six weeks!!!
